About ROFINTUG ...

The Roaring Fork Internet Users Group, ROF.NET, was Founded in Aspen, Colorado in early 1995, as a federally-chartered non-profit Internet Service Provider by Richard A. Sherman, with John Seamons as the indispensable chief technical officer.

Says Richard Sherman, "I founded ROF, a totally volunteer effort on my part, as a labor
of love.  I donated my time, my energy and my resources so that ROF might thrive.  The story of those early pioneer days is an interesting, even exciting one.  The present excitement at ROF is comparable to, and worthy of the excitement of those early days."

ROF.NET was founded on the generous donation of time, equipment and monetary donations from members of the local community. In recognition of his seminal activities in the founding of the organization, The Roaring Fork Computer Society confers the honorary title of Guru-For-Life upon Nick de Wolf.
